Genetic Data Analyst
Location: Ossining, NY | Posting Date: 03/13/2026 | Job Type: Full-time | Pay: $117,250 - $120,000/yr.
Duties:- Analyze, visualize and interpret targeted gene sequencing results of various human genes that are of clinical importance to BMT (Bone Marrow Transplantation), using unique methods and software applications developed by Histogenetics.
- Provide subject matter expertise in data science for the planning and execution of gene sequencing projects that require advanced analytical methods and ensuring the maximum value is realized for the data generated.
- Gather and integrate all genomic data related to the gene analysis from external sources to prepare comprehensive reports and infer these reports to drive major business decisions.
- Design and implement various computational tools for genetic data analysis and prepare data structures to determine an effective data analysis framework for the analysis of the targeted human genes.
- Design and maintain quality control metrics, prepare database for maintaining the records of the observations and coordinate with quality assurance team to determine all quality control programs in production.
- Assist clinicians in deriving the gene sequencing results and provide them feedback on all bioinformatics data that are gathered from the conducted experiments.
- Assist, coordinate and supervise various teams and provide support to several programs used for multiple gene sequencing projects.
- Resolve critical issues encountered during gene sequence analysis from various sequencing platforms by engaging, communicating, and delegating tasks within the team members.
